Got tired of trying to pick out a Shoei since all of their models fit different, decided to go with a helmet that I knew for a fact would fit me.
Not a bad deal, got me this

Thanks man! I spent the past three nights trying to decide on one and finally went with one I had not even been considering.

i've been eyeballing that black icon with a nice price tag at the yamaha shop....i generally don't like icon, but their helmets are 'world standard' so they can't be that bad. the liner is supposed to be very nice as well.
looks good to me.

I ended up having to cancel due to huge backorder. Went with http://www.revzilla.com/product_images/0010/2269/Icon_Airframe_Claymore_Helmet_Slayer_zoom.jpg

True, but I'm in dire need of a new one. My current weighs about as much as the limit we can have on the back seats of the bikes.

the red one looks better, and it'll match your bike

one look at my bike (and helmets) and you can tell that I don't worry about that (anymore)... my helmet(s) toss and turn on my tail section every time that I carry one/them... I replaced all of my plastics except the tail section for that reason. Now, I have slide marks on both sides from doing 130-150 with 2 helmets sitting back there. After all, I didn't buy it to enter into the shows!

Heard that, my CBR has all kinds of war wounds, but it has NEVER hit the ground. My knee broke the fall the two times it almost did..

mine hits the ground all of the time, so it seems:
1) car hit the front tire when it was changing lanes
2) forgot to put the kickstand down (long phone conversations do that)
3) tried once to ramp it into the back of the truck, not a good idea at 60 MPH
* this was my first experience on my R6
4) greased the chain, rode off a dirt driveway, hit 4th gear and it was gone
5) mini van ran the stop sign and put me almost in someone's living room
6) ex-gf dropped the f4 the first time she tried to put gas in it
This is all in a 9 year span and with a total of 3 sport bikes ('99 CBR f4, '03 SV650s, '05 R6)

You learn as you go! I dropped the R1 when a deer ran out in front of me, hit gravel.
